For Private Citizens

Citizens can find out about approved animal testing projects in Germany in the searchable database AnimalTestInfo (https://www.animaltestinfo.de/).

Every scientist is obliged to submit an application for approval which includes a generally comprehensible, so-called non-technical project summary (in short: NTS). By law, the BfR assumes the task of publishing the NTS and reports them to the central database of the EU Commission ALURES.

All European member states transfer their information on approved animal testing projects to the ALURES-NTS database in their respective language.
